After Adoption

The 10 MOST IMPORTANT Things You Need to Know!
1. After bringing your new friend home, the first thing you need to pay attention to is food consumption.

Among small breed puppies, such as Yorkshire Terrier, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, etc., long periods without food can lead to a drop in blood sugar and fatigue due to hunger, which is known as (hypoglycemia).

Therefore, it is important to feed your puppy at least 3 meals a day (morning, noon, evening) to maintain regular mealtimes. If your puppy is adapting to a new environment, it may rarely experience loss of appetite due to stress.

To increase appetite and encourage food consumption, it is recommended to mix dry food with boiled skinless chicken breast for the first 3 days. This mixture should be gradually reduced, transitioning the puppy to dry food.

2. Our puppies have had their first vaccinations completed (against internal and external parasites).

Additionally, extra injections are applied to support the immune system.

All vaccines are recorded in their passport booklets.

You can visit your vet within 1 week after receiving your puppy.

IMPORTANT! When any procedures need to be performed during the vet visit, it is important to have our sales representative and your vet communicate by phone.

3. It is recommended to brush your puppy twice a week. Brushing stimulates circulation, helping the coat grow shiny and healthy.

4. Avoid washing your puppy with water at 2 months old to protect its immunity. However, in urgent cases, spot cleaning can be done, ensuring the roots of the fur do not remain wet.

5. Our puppies have reached the first level of toilet training. They have learned to use their toilet pads. When moving to a new environment, it is essential to have toilet training spray and pads. Spraying all four corners of the pad with the spray creates an ammonia scent that attracts the puppy to the toilet area.

6. To create a living space for your puppy at home, you can use a playpen, which you can get from pet stores. With this pen, you can create a corner that includes a toilet pad, food bowl, water bowl, bed, and toys. As long as you’re sure your puppy is fed regularly in the morning and evening, it can be left alone for up to 8 hours.

During the first 2 weeks, it is recommended to keep your puppy away from crowds and only let it out of the pen at designated times.

7. Our puppies consume Royal Canin Mini Starter, a professional brand of dog food. This food contains all the nutrients the body needs. Therefore, homemade meals are not recommended. The use of different foods can disrupt intestinal flora, leading to loose stools.

8. It’s important to pay attention to temperature changes during your puppy’s early stages. To prevent health problems, avoid exposing your puppy to air conditioning, fans, room sprays, or cigarette smoke.

9. Until your puppy’s vaccinations are completed, do not allow it to interact with other dogs, go outside, or come into contact with areas in your home where shoes are worn.
